Fountain Pen Worth Trying
I’ll be honest, I don’t always love to do pen reviews.
But as I share my writing on social media, my inbox is filled with the same two requests, pen reviews and handwriting requests (coming soon).
I hesitate to do pen reviews because one, I’m not a great writer and two, everyone can be looking for different experiences and uses. Preferences run deep and everyone can have a different idea of what makes a pen great and what feels good. But ask and you shall receive so let’s talk fountain pens.
If you are curious about dipping your toe into the fountain pen world but don’t want to drop hundreds on a luxury model check out the EYEYE Disposable Fountain Pen. It’s straightforward, lightweight plastic with a steel nib. It comes pre-filled with ink and flows smooth and consistent.
5 Reasons I Like This Pen
Fun - I just love the look of these pens. The clear, see-through barrel is the star of the show. It’s so satisfying to see the ink and the transparency let’s you monitor the ink levels.
Ink - You get eight vibrant color inks and it makes me smile every time the ink flow onto the paper. Great for adding flair to notes, journaling or color-coding without having to buy separate bottled inks.
Price - In this economy can anyone complain about an inexpensive pen? As someone who takes pens with me everywhere I’m not too worried if one disappears.
Nib - I love a fine point pen and this 0.5 mm makes precise, sharp lines.
Maintenance - ZERO maintenance. Grab, uncap and write. No fussing with inks and filling mechanisms.
It is a fountain pen so it will smudge and possibly bleed through paper. But it seems to dry fairly quickly and in my experience, I haven’t had a huge issue with bleeding however paper does matter. Overall, it’s great for beginners. If you’ve ever only used ballpoint or gel pen, it’s a good gateway pen to try. It’s reliable, inexpensive, low-maintenance and won’t overwhelm you with ink and filling mechanisms.
So if you are looking for a fun fountain pen you can give these a try.
